Last Wishes "Official Selection" in the South Dakota Film Festival

Last Wishes returns to its birthplace of Aberdeen, SD as an official selection in the 2007 South Dakota Film Festival.

The festival takes place the weekend of September 21-23 in Aberdeen, SD with screenings at the Old Capitol Theatre. Last Wishes is currently listed in the 2nd Session which starts at 1:00 PM on Saturday the 22nd.

For a little history, Last Wishes was created last year for the Fischgaard Short Film Project where the entire film was created in less than 48 hours. At the screening it won "Best Film" and the Audience Award. The version that will be screened is the "49 hour edit" which has a few things touched up and adds in a couple of extra sound effects.

Please go view our submission for the On the Lot Contest, a new reality TV show that Steven Spielberg is involved with. So please vote and comment on our film, Last Wishes, which was re-edited to fit within the 5 minutes. Matt also gives a completely "stunning" introduction to the film.

Red Noise Wins Best Editing

The latest Talenos film won Best Editing at the 2006 Des Moines 48 Hour Film Project. The award winners will be shown at the Fleur Cinema in Des Moines on Thursday, August 24 at 7pm and 9pm.

A new short is also in the works, we are currently looking for a leading actress in her 20s available for 2 days of shooting in eastern SD in early September. If you are interested please contact matt@talenos.com.

Talenos Productions is entered in the 2006 48 hour film project in Aberdeen, SD. The contest takes place on the weekend of July 14-16 and the Talenos team hopes to come away with another victory. Anyone interested in helping with the contest should contact a member of the Talenos team. Like always, it should be a lot of hard work and a lot of fun.

Talenos Productions Takes Top Honors at Festival

The Talenos Productions film, Last Wishes, took home the People's Choice award and Best Film. at the 2nd Annual Fischgaard Short Film Project in Aberdeen, SD. Teams were given two days to create a 4-7 minute film that contained four requirements:

Genre: Silent Film
Character: Gertrude Fischgaard, eccentric philanthropist
Dialogue: "...oh, for the love of Pete"
Prop: Helmet

At the end of the contest, the films were viewed in front of an audience of around 200 people, including three judges who would decide the winners of three awards: Technical Excellence, Creative Excellence and Best Film. The audience also cast votes for the "Fiskerlivets Farer" or People's Choice award.

Upate on Projects

Just thought I'd give everyone a quick update on all the things going on with some of our projects.

Atomic Nightmare is getting the finishing touches put on. We're now just waiting for music and special effects.

Honey Logic is still in need of some key roles, but shooting will resume at the end of February.

We've also filmed a short called The Pitch over winter break and hope to have the editing and music finished up soon.

We are also looking at entering in a film contest in Aberdeen that is modeled after the 48 hour film projects that we've done in the past.

Ryan Doll Wins Election

Honey Logic - First Weekend of Shooting

The first weekend of shooting for Honey Logic took place Nov 11 and 12 in Sioux Falls. Our next shoot is scheduled for the 26 in Chicago.

Honey Logic Starts Production

Honey Logic, the short-length feature begins principal photography this weeek. We will be traveling to Sioux Falls, SD to do the first shoot for the new project. This new and improved version of Honey Logic features the same characters and cast from the original one minute shorts, which can be seen here.

We are still looking for a few actors for some key roles, so if you match the following description and are intersted in working on a project in Ames, Iowa for no pay, be sure to let us know.

The Talenos Productions team just finished creating a commercial for ISU student Ryan Doll's city council campaign in Ames. The commercial will air on CNN, Fox News, Comedy Central and others in the next few weeks before the election.

Ill Wind Recieves 3 Awards

The Talenos Productions film Ill Wind won three awards presented at the 48 Hour Film Project - Des Moines wrap party on Saturday. The film was written, filmed, and edited all within 48 hours.
